Governor Hope Uzodinma has officially presented his running mate in the upcoming Governorship election slated to hold by November 2023.
The choice of Lady Chinyere Ekomaru was officially announced at a political gathering of All Progressives Congress APC party held in Owerri Imo state Nigeria.
Professor Placid Njoku is expected to take a bow at the end of this administration while Chinyere Ekomaru takes over. The former Dgov has no issues with the Governor by this nomination and has supported Ekomaro’s nomination as Uzodinma’s running mate.
Lady Ekomaru will represent the women inclusivity which can only be realistic if the All Progressives Congress APC party wins the Governorship Election as scheduled to hold by November 11th.
The Governor while announcing his incoming Deputy cum running mate has assured Imo people his readiness to work cordially with Lady Ekomaro to give the state the best in service, targetted at improving Imo state.
Lady Ekomaru hails from Mbaitolu state constituency, a carrier civil servant, woman activist, Lady of st Christopher and a mother of seven children.
In her acceptance speech, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru thanked the governor, His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma for identifying her to work for the state in this capacity and promised to give a quality representation.
She however promised Imo women of an all inclusive and resourceful representation while calling on them to mobilize more women at various communities and wards to vote for the second term bid and continuity of Governor Uzodinma.
9News Nigeria reports that there was a general acceptability of the running mate to Governor Hope Uzodinma by the Imo state All Progressives Congress APC family ably led by the State Party Chairman, Sir Macdonald Ebere PhD.
APC state party Chairman, Sir Macdonald Ebere has prayed God to give the Governor and his running mate a deserving wisdom, strength and good health to continue in the running of the affairs of the state. He assured Imo APC that Governor Uzodinma will emerge victorious at the November Guber Election.
Deputy Governor Placid Njoku has been a great ally to Governor Hope Uzodinma and will ever be remembered for his administrative prowess in the APC administration. He is fully in support of this nomination and presentation of Lady Chinyere Ekomaro as the next incoming Deputy Governor under Uzodinma.
