
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the top scorers in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with Okeke Chinedu Christian emerging as the highest scorer nationwide with 375 points.
The list was unveiled on Tuesday July 8, during JAMB’s 2025 Policy Meeting on Admissions held in Abuja, where the board highlighted exceptional academic performances across the country.
Okeke, who hails from Anambra State took the exam in Lagos, applied to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) as his first-choice course.
Closely following is Ayuba Simon-Peter John from Ogun State, who scored 374 points and applied to Afe Babalola University (ANUAD) for Mechanical Engineering.
In third place is Jimoh Abulmalik Olayinka from Kwara State, also with 374 points, applying to UNILAG for the same course.
Other top scorers include:; *Roberts Damiete Ayibo (Rivers State) -373 points, UNILAG, Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
*Ononugo Chigozirim Chibueze (Enugu State) -373 points, University of Ibadan, Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
*Olawepo Gertrude Tunmise (Kwara State) -373 points, UNILAG, Computer Science.
*Afonata Ofeoritse Leslie (Delta State) -372 points, Obafemi Awolowo University, Aerospace Engineering.
The Board praise the academic achievements of the top candidates, representing various states and institutions across Nigeria.
