Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has successfully submitted its Guber Candidate, Sir EZENWAFOR JUDE and his Deputy to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in line with the electoral law (2022 as amended), ahead of the November 8, 2025, gubernatorial election.
The name of Sir Chief Jude Ezenwafor, a real estate developer, who emerged as the party’s flag-bearer following a transparent and inclusive primary election held on April 8, 2025, at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre in Awka, has been submitted electronically in line with INEC regulations and guidelines.
Ezenwafor, the sole aspirant of the PDP in Anambra state, secured a unanimous endorsement from 853 accredited delegates representing the 21 local government areas of the State.
The primary, overseen by Colonel Chijioke Onwubuya (rtd), Chairman of the PDP National Electoral Committee, adhered strictly to the party’s guidelines, with each delegate casting a ballot to affirm Ezenwafor’s candidacy.
The submission which was duly signed by the Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum and co-signed by the Acting National Secretary, Hon Ach Setonji Koshoedo, followed all due process of the law and has been approved and duly acknowledged by the INEC.
This development is another confidence building for the PDP, and will herald the return of good governance to the people of Anambra state with Sir Jude Ezenwafor as the Executive Governor of the State.
