Former Edo State Governor and Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has described the Nigeria Democratic Congress (ND) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as a trader whose approach to leadership is shaped by short-term calculations rather than long-term national planning.
Speaking during a recent interview on Channels TV on Monday, Oshiomhole argued that traders are typically focused on quick turnover and immediate returns.
According to the senator, “Peter Obi is a trader. Traders have short-term calculations; they are not into long-term projections. They are not wired to think about what the situation will be in the long run. Their turnover is within three months, maximum of six months.”
He emphasized that it is difficult for traders to think in terms of long-term development.
Peter Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State, has consistently defended his record in public office, maintaining that prudent financial management, fiscal discipline and strategic investments are essential to sustainable national development.
