PLASIEC concludes tour, calls for citizens’ cooperation

The Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) has completed its tour of 17 Local Government Areas of the state in preparation for the October 9, 2024 elections.

The Chairman, Planji Cishak urged Plateau citizens to unite and cooperate to ensure a smooth, fair, and lawful electoral process.

He stressed that every vote will count and that PLASIEC is committed to a transparent and secure election.

Cishak highlighted the importance of selecting only qualified individuals as adhoc staff.

He also noted the recent establishment of the Plateau State Advisory Consultative Committee on Election Security (PLACCES) to safeguard the electoral process.

Local government leaders have also pledged their full support for the elections, reinforcing PLASIEC’s dedication to upholding the rule of law and global best practices.
