President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday the 8th of September 2021 approved the appointment of Prof. Joseph Ugboaja as the Chief Medical Director of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi.
The appointment letter was presented to Prof. Ugboaja by the Honorable minister of Health Hon. Osagie Ehanire at the Federal secretariat Abuja.
Prof. Ugboaja was appointed as the acting CMD in February after the expiration of the tenure of Prof. Anthony Igwegbe. The appointment as acting CMD gave rise to rapid development of the hospital with improved administration. Seeing his zeal for good and effective service delivery, Prof. Ugboaja was part of the aspirants screened by a special board under the ministry of health, he was subsequently recommended for the presidency’s approval.
Prof. Joseph Ugboaja will assume full administrative role as the substantial Chief medical director of the university teaching hospital located at the industrial city Nnewi Anambra state.
