
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai on his 65th birthday.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described El-Rufai as an administrator, scholar, and politician whose resourcefulness and brilliance have distinguished him in public service.
El-Rufai, a founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), served as Governor of Kaduna State for eight years.
Before holding elective office, he was the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises and later the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) from 2003 to 2007.
President Tinubu lauded El-Rufai’s pivotal role in the formation of the APC and his contributions to the party’s electoral successes in 2015, 2019, and 2023, commending his contributions to governance, democracy, and national development.
He also acknowledged El-Rufai’s mentorship of younger politicians and his dedication to strengthening democratic governance in Nigeria.
The President wished the chieftain good health and many happy returns.
