Over the weekend, Deputy GOVERNOR of Imo state Nigeria, His Excellency Professor Placid Njoku was at the just concluded 33rd convocation ceremony of the Federal University of Technology, FUTO in his Professorial capacity and that of the state deputy governor.

9News Nigeria Owerri, reports that Imo state deputy governor Prof Placid Njoku is a man of excellence having achieved such a wonderful feat in the Academia as Former Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Umudike and presently serving as the Deputy GOVERNOR of Imo state.

However, the saying that “Human excellence deepens when it becomes integrated with academic laurels” can surely be seen burning in such a humane blended personality of Placid Njoku.

Njoku was present at the 33rd convocation ceremony of the Federal University of Technology, FUTO where he held the ground and did justice to his duties.

Representing his Boss, the Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodinma, Prof Placid Njoku promised to assist in his little measure to revamp the notable university of technology FUTO.

The former Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Umudike, Former Technical Director at the National Universities Commission, hinted that Imo State is on a path of detailed and painstaking revamp of education across the state with the commitment and dedication of His Excellency the Governor of Imo state.

He promised to change the narrative even as is clearly evidenced in restoring the looted lands of FUTI and in giving gigantic support to the great institution.
