Our attention has been drawn to a purported online Presidential Youth empowerment spreading on the social media which is targetted at misleading the public and defrauding people of their money, data subscription and time.
9News Nigeria investigative team lead by Amb Princely Onyenwe have thoroughly delve into research through their application portal to grab factual evidences concerning the said youth empowerment.
9News Nigeria therefore wishes to inform the public that such orchestrated Presidential Youth empowerment is not in existence and is not being managed by any government agency as confirmed from reliable sources.
In my course of investigation, I had to engage the portal. I took my time to apply to see to the end of the program in my work as an investigative media practitioner.
What I did was to first applied and followed the process to the end. Few minutes after, I raised a public alarm across Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp and also brought same awareness to this News medium.

After some hours I took my time and data to investigate this portal, I want to authoritatively assert that this is a scam ❌ from online scammers using “Presidential Empowerment as a ploy to fraud Nigerians. Security intelligence should please track the creators.
I carefully followed their decisive instructions from step one to the last step but to my surprise, immediately I got to the last stage called ‘VERIFY’, behold I was directed to another different scammer’s portal. Then I carefully exited I felt to share this to alert the public.
However, I belong to an elite class whose responsibility is to educate the public, my followers and to inform them of certain social vices trending on daily basis while proffering possible solutions to checkmate such trends. Beware of online fraudstars!! Stop evil businesses!! Stop corruption!!
There was no money the idiots could dupe me but the application placed with a highly respected Presidential logo and maps of various countries is what that got me attracted for thorough investigation to educate, entertain and enlighten the public to ignore the fragmented empowerment orchestrated by the scammers. It is a scam reporting by 9News Nigeria.
Because it is bearing presidential empowerment tag, there is no how people will not apply just as I did. But my own case was on investigation.
I am therefore calling on the Presidency to apply every necessary online check and security measures to track those behind this act and prosecute them. Otherwise, many people will be duped. I sighted more that three hundred thousand applicants who may have thought it is authentic.
However, they are telling applicants to keep sharing until you got to the ‘VERIFY’ stage then they will cash out but all their gimmick is highly fraudulent. I got there and nothing happened. I had also wondered how such fraudstars can be using a presidential and various countries logo to fraud the public.
It will hunt my feelings and sense of reason if I did not share this experience as a caution to intending applicants.
Though efforts to alert the Presidency was not available but I have shared the information across social media outlets and my publication to back it up while calling on the public to beware and for the government to investigate the reason behind such impersonation by online scammers and fraudstars.
