Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue has urged indigents of the State to always pray for him instead of abusing him.
Reacting to incessant insults he received from critics due to his style of governance, Governor Ortom said:
“Don’t incur the wrath of God and his judgement by insulting me”.
Advising critics to be civil in their analysis of his administration, the Governor further appealed in this tone:
“I don’t want you to face the wrath and the judgement of God by insulting God’s own anointed.
“Even if I am doing the wrong thing, you have a duty to pray for me.”
