Following the recent appointment of a Nigerian student by name Orire Agbaje, a 400 level Economics student of the University of Ibadan as member, Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, there are trending reaction coming from various students camps.
Nigerian Youths have been clamouring to see a president or political leader that can implement the affirmative quota of Youth’s inclusivity in governance until Tinubu assumed office as President.
Recall that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR is an employer of labour who has been empowering many Youths and making alot of leaders under him, 9News Nigeria reports.
Negative reactions that beclouded the President Tinubu’s inclusion of both Youths and Women into his cabinet may not in any way hold any water as gathered.
However, Tinubu’s latest appointment of a Nigerian Student as member Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms has been criticized based on the mode of selection and approval.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Miss Orire Agbaje, a 400 level Economics student of the University of Ibadan who is the President of the Nigerian Universities Tax Club as a member of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms that was inaugurated Wednesday 9-8-2023.
9News Nigeria authoritatively reports that the Youths are about taking over in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Government which was established by the leading All Progressives Congress APC party administration.
This tempo has to be well commended while looking up to President Tinubu to spread his arms above regional sentiments and tribal differences to bring on board more Youths as he has been recognized as a respected personality in empowerment and employment.
While congratulating the Nigerian Youth for making the presidential list, information gathered reveals that same Youths are criticizing the presidential appointment while talking down Orire Agbaje’s credibility to deliver her needed functions as will be deemed fit.
An anonymous told the press that “If this news had emanated from the White House in America, people would have found a way to insult president Tinubu and say “this can never happen in Nigeria”.
“And supprisingly, now it’s coming from Aso Rock and people are still cursing the man out. We as a people should learn to celebrate wins no matter how little it may be. Opposition cannot just be in everything, for Christ sake”.
