A real estate expert and worthy Son of Avu Owerri West, Chief Buchi Oparaugo has officially declared to contest the seat of House of Representatives for Owerri Federal Constituency.
His interest was made public at respective locations where he made official declarations beginning from his country home in Avu/Oforola ward in Owerri West Local Government area of Imo state Nigeria amidst mammoth crowd of APC Party Members and unbelievable support from his Avu people as gathered by 9News Nigeria.
Our correspodent who covered the event reports that the turn out of All Progressives Congress APC party members and members of the public was massive to embrace his people oriented slogan “NJIKO OWERRI” which implies unity and coexistence of Ndi Owerri.
Party Ward executives expressed satisfaction of his humble character and impressive records in various businesses and leadership assignments.
The party however assured Chief Buchi Oparaugo of their total support and solidarity to succeed.
While Speaking at AVU declaration event, the Party Chairman, Hon. Emejuobi asked Oparaugo to play his roles perfectly through wide reach consultations and charged the APC party Avu Oforola ward to support his quest.
Other stakeholders, leaders and excos of Apc in the area acknowledged his home personality virtues and call to service as convincing factors to back him up in the race while praying to God to grant him victory in the party primary elections scheduled to hold soon.
In his response, Chief Buchi Oparaugo hinted more on his deepest passion which are ways to bridge the gap between the poor and the rich and maintained his readiness to present people oriented bills at the floor of the green chamber to make Owerri Federal Constituency a better place.
He added that with his wealth of knowledge in conflict management, oil and gas and experience in property management and wide range of other portfolios, such benefits will be replicated to improve Owerri Federal Constituency.
There is no doubt Buchi Oparaugo’s declaration at his Avu/Oforola ward recorded a huge success having creme de la creme of APC leaders and Mr Chidi Emejuobi (ward chairman) led executives in attendance.
