Renewed Hope Group commends NAFDAC on their relentless approach to curbing drug abuse

Thank you to *President Bola Ahmed Tinubu*, the Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), *Prof Moji Adeyeye* and the National Security Adviser (NSA), *Malam Nuhu Ribadu* for their unrelenting support.

Ten military and private trucks have been successfully loaded from Onitsha to the NAFDAC warehouse today.

Although NAFDAC officers and security forces have only completed a fraction of the operation, significant progress is being made.

At the Onitsha Bridge Head plumbing section, traders have raised concerns about NAFDAC’s presence in non-drug sections of the market during the operation.

However, it is important to note that when NAFDAC officers and police attempted a similar operation three years ago, they were attacked and narrowly escaped death.

Without the intervention and leadership of the National Security Adviser, today’s successful operation would not have been possible.
