Mission Unstoppable: Osarodion Ogie Finally Set To Dump Obaseki As Foot Soldiers Begin Exodus Movement
The game is fast changing as we approach the September 19th Edo Governorship election.
The real oppositions to Obaseki are unveiling the mask behind the faces.
There is a current exodus of movement from the Obaseki Shaibu Movement, OSM back to the main APC fold.
Latest on the list of the political bigwigs set to dump and work against Godwin Obaseki is the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Osarodion Ogie.
Recall at the wake of Obaseki’s movement to the PDP, Barrister Osarodion Ogie made moves to dump Obaseki but decided to hold on for the likely negotiations with PDP.
Categorically we can tell you that Osarodion Ogie was absolutely sidelined in the PDP arrangement.
Ogie has a history and for the benefit of the ignorant ones let me run a brief profile of Osarodion Ogie.
With the exit of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to the PDP prior to the last Gubernatorial election in EDO State, the coast was clear for two likely successors to Adams Oshiomhole, the then Deputy Governor, Dr Pius Odubu and Barrister Osarodion Ogie where the front line aspirants for the top job.
What happened that Adams Oshiomhole finally decided for Obaseki at the tail end of his tenure is a discussion for another day.
Barrister Ogie was rumoured to be the one Adams Oshiomhole was actually grooming, he was then compensated as the DG of Obaseki’s campaign and later made the Secretary to the State Government.
So if you assume Barr Ogie who seldomly talks is a small fry then you need to have a rethink.
The PDP has shown Ogie the back door.
The PDP actually accepted only Obaseki and Philip Shaibu they practically rejected all others.
The local government chairmen working with Obaseki under the PDP are more like WALKING CORPSE aka ZOMBIES.
It is so pathetic that PDP refused to accept them as leaders.
The case of Ogbemudia’s daughter who happens to be the Chairman of Egor Local Government Council always brings me to tears.
She is treated like an outcast in PDP, Ikpoba Okha Chairman, Ovia North East and practically others are ostracized and loathed in PDP, they are seen like lepers.
According to the PDP, what more can they do? they have given them the Governor and Deputy what else would you want from them? their blood maybe.
To cut this whole long story short Barrister Ogie’s main ally and foot soldier that commands a large chunk of STREET SUPPORTERS, Mr Idemudia Noah AKA PADDY Noah has dumped Obaseki for the APC in support of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and Mallam Gani Audu.
He decamped with over 10 thousand youths to the APC. He brought the youths along with him as a show of strength.
In local parlance, we say GAME DENOVO…It is all over.
Now ask yourself why has Ogie not yet picked his PDP membership card?
Ogie sees himself as a worthy aspirant for the seat of the Executive Governor and was only foisted to work with Obaseki.
It seems the hour of judgement is here and you can no longer be seen to be seated on the fence.
Ogie’s eventual cross over to the progressives the APC would be the final nail to the coffin of the aspiration of Godwin Obaseki.
Politics is a game of number, the APC gubernatorial candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu would sure be smiling and waiting for the day Ogie would publicly cross over to work alongside with him to reposition Edo State.
