Abuja(9News Nigeria) – The Supreme Court of Nigeria has today, Tuesday 20th September 2016 upheld the result of the Kogi state governorship election in which Yahaya Bello was declared winner. The court therefor reaffirmed Governor Yahaya Bello as the elected governor of Kogi state.
The ruling was given by a seven- man panel headed by Justice Sylvester Ngwata afer listening to the charges and defense by counsels of each contesting group.
The panel however did not make open the reasons and arguments that led to the tone of the ruling but promised to reveal the reasons come Sepetember 30th.
