The Special Adviser to the Governor on Imo Orientation Agency, Chief Dr Fidel Onyeneke has expressed strong optimism that the Swearing-in and inauguration of Sen Hope Uzodinma and his new Deputy for a second term in office, will further accelerate the development and socio-economic well-being of the State.
Speaking to Journalists in Owerri on Friday, Chief Onyeneke said that the government had already laid a solid foundation which would sustain peace and security under the new dispensation.
He noted that the enthusiasm and interest shown by the citizenry towards the Swearing-in and inauguration ceremonies was a clear evidence of the confidence and support for the success of the administration.
Chief Onyeneke who is a Member of the Inauguration Committee, solicited for the maximum cooperation of the people with the Government, adding that good governance is a joint responsibility of all and sundry.
The Special Adviser hailed the giant strides recorded by Governor Uzodinma and reiterated the belief that the glory of Imo State would be skyrocketed under the new tenure.
Chief Onyeneke appealed to the people to shun negative acts which are inimical to the growth of the State,stressing that no meaningful progress could be achieved under an atmosphere of disharmony.
Chief Onyeneke reminded the residents that they do not have any other state they can call their own except Imo and as such,l should guard it jealousy.
