The “disagreement” between the governor of Anambra state, H.E Chief Dr. Willie Maduabrochukwu Obiano and distinguish Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah is no longer a news in the state as the citizens are already conversant with most informations in this political rigmaroling between this Duo’s.
Infact it is now normal within the state, where one expects one accusation or the other usually from the Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s political camp against H.E Chief Willie Obiano’s APGA led government. Although Chief Willie Obiano can not be exonerated totally on some of the causes of these banters and political disagreement lingering for a long time now.
Hardly a week passes by without a Media war, accusations or mudslinging from this two teams. They could be described as the “Cat and Rat” (APGA and YPP) whenever it comes to Anambra politics.
However this week accusation from the Anambra South Senator Ifeanyi Ubah against the governor of the state has upgraded there usual charades to the mother of all the attacks ever exchanged between the two political weight.
On Friday, the 6th of November 2019, Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on one of his radio outings at Authority 91.9fm Nnewi asked the governor to Explain the use of a certain 25 billion naira promiscory notes from the DMO which was later converted as cash therefore incurring such a high debt profile in the state.
In the senators statement, he said “the people” should immidately request from the governor details of this 25 billion naira promiscory note, as there are no verifiable structures sited anywhere in the state to equal this huge amount of money.
However there are so many other accusations and counter accusations from both camps which I will mention in my next piece of deaming the searchlight on Anambra leaders.
For now, it is imperative to return on the subject under discussion in this piece of write up which is the banters and rifts between the governor and Senator.
Recall that the problem between Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah and HE Chief Dr. Willie Obiano (The Executive Governor of Anambra state) began after the build up of APGA 2019 National Assembly primary elections, where Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was disqualified from contesting the party’s Senatorial ticket barely two days to the primary election which later led to the exit of the senator from APGA and the emergence of the Young progressive Party (YPP).
Before the disqualification process against senator Ifeanyi Ubah to contest the APGA 2019 National Assembly elections primary. Various media platform had at that time released a recorded agreement between the Governor and the senator before the 2017 governorship elections, where Senator Ifeanyi Ubah & others worked hard to deliver chief Willie Obiano 2nd term gubernatorial bid.
The earlier record which was at that time flying round Discrediting the Governor of Anambra state as a man that does not to keep a simple agreement and also the assumed exposer of the audio tape in circluation Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah was also described as a man with no secret. However non partisan political analyst noted that characteristics found in the audio tape have shown that both parties actually worked together in 2017 gubernatorial elections for selfish interest and not for the people’s interest. The question is, which one outsmarted the other at the End of their game plan ( this is really a confirmation that a guy no dey guy guyooo).
