A yet to be identified man (Alleged to be a staff of Quantum packaging Igbesa) has been reportedly crushed to death by a truck while trying to climb the moving Truck
The deceased who met his untimely death on Monday was crushed by the truck driver as the man in question slipped his foot while trying to climb the truck but mistakenly fell and was crushed by the middle tyres of the moving truck.
It was gathered from Eye witnesses that the the truck slow down where factory workers do stay to hang onto a moving truck, over 10 factory workers already climb the truck, as the truck was set to move, the deceased and a colleague were running to join the truck,unknowing to the trick driver, the deceased slipped and the tyres of the truck smashed him.
The heavy noise from other factory workers called the attention of the truck driver, it was gathered that the truck driver had to flee for his life abandoning the truck when angry mob were already damaging the truck.
The men of the Nigerian Police Force swung into action and averted further damages.
According to person who pleaded for anonymity, “she said the company should provide a staff bus for their workers and Oloja Ekun, The King of Igbesa Land should interfere on the issue.
Some of the workers were also grumbling after the incident, saying “they are tired of standing at the road side looking for free ride that will convey them to their destinations.
