Former Minister of State for Mines and Steels and also a gubernatorial aspirant in Abia state under All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Uche Sampson Ogah is once again fighting yet another battle for the survival of his political career.
Ogah who was expected to deliver the Presidential candidate of the APC, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu and House of Representatives candidate for Isuikwato/Umunneochi federal constituency, Hon. Nkiru Onyejeocha in his Isuikwato Local Government ended up working for the Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi and the House of Representatives candidate of Labour Party for Isuikwato/ Umunneochi federal constituency, Chief Amobi Ogah.
Explaining to newsmen on Sunday on the failed re-election bid of Onyejeocha who was seeking fifth term to the Green Chambers, Coordinator of Progressives For Nkiru Onyejeocha, Mr Innocent Okorie noted that the massive lose faced by Tinubu and Onyejeocha in Isuikwato was as a result of Uche Ogah’s open campaign against the APC. He noted that Ogah specifically instructed his political base to vote Labour Party all through.
Okorie said he is disappointed that Ogah could deceive the presidential candidate of the APC despite promising to work for his victory .
According to Okorie, “ People like the ex minister Ogah are slippery and never keep to their words. He can’t expect the party to recommend him as Minister when he can’t work for the same party to win elections. What happened yesterday is an open anti party and should not be tolerated.
“We hope the party disciplines him. Since he lost the gubernatorial candidature of the APC he has been plotting heavily against the APC. He instructed his hometown to vote Labour Party because his younger brother is running for House of Representatives.
“He also specifically made sure that Onyejeocha lost her fifth term re-election bid and that is why the margin of loss is huge. “ He said
