From Princely Onyenwe

Our correspodent from the Federal Capital Territory Abuja reports that both the Labour Party LP embattled candidate Peter Obi and his co- lost out presidential candidate of PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar are still nursing high hopes to take back the number one position and possibly remove the already established President -Elect Bola Tinubu from the hot seat.

Atiku Abubakar

Recall that INEC at the conclusion of the presidential election announced Tinubu as the winner but the duo Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar took APC and Tinubu to appeal court.

After the adoptions and arguments by counsels at the pre- hearing session, the court has adjourned to Thursday May 11, 2023, by 2:00Pm to allow other parties, I.e. APC, Bola Tinubu and INEC to respond to PDP and Atiku Abubakar’s application for the Live Transmission of the hearings.

However, while outlining and adopting the petition filed by the PDP and its Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, the PDP lead Counsel, Chris Uche, SAN, informed the court of its application for the permission of the court to televise the hearing “LIVE” on national television and other news media.

Court session

He described the application as very important and begged the Lord Justices to intervene with the urgency it required.

Atiku, against the APC and it’s Candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Bola Tinubu as winner of the election as declared by INEC.

The lead counsel for the PDP and it’s Candidate is Chris Uche, SAN. He is in court with more than 20 other SANs.

Meanwhile it is assumed to be the last chapter of the PDP’s journey together with that of labour Party who has claimed that he Peter Obi won the presidential election conducted and declared by INEC.

Coming to you Live from the Appeal Court, Abuja, venue of the 2023 Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT), the Acting National Chairman of PDP, Amb Iliya Umar Damagum, the National Publicity Secretary and other party leaders are at the court room to witness the proceedings.
