
The Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has commenced a 19-day schedule for the commissioning of key infrastructure projects in Abuja to commemorate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second year in office.
According to the Wike, the inauguration of the projects will kick off on June 10, 2025, showcasing the Tinubu administration’s urban renewal and infrastructure drive in the nation’s capital.
Among the projects set for commissioning are major transport and infrastructure across the city.
-Kugbo Bus Terminal
-Mabushi Bus Terminal
-Apo-Wassa Road
-N16 Interchange and Connecting Roads (Maitama-Katampe -Jahi)
-Inner Northern Expressway (Ring Road 3 from Idu to Kubwa Road)
-CN8 Road (N5 to Court of Appeal)
-N20 Flyover at Onnrx on Kubwa Road.
-Life Junction to Ring Road 1111
-Kubasa-Tukushara Access Road.
-Kabusa-Ketti Access Road
-Access Road in Giri District
-15km Road from A2 Junction (Abuja -Lokoja Road) to Pai in Kwali Area Council.
-Roads to Ushafa, War College, and Army Checkpoint in Bwari Area Council.
In addition to these, Wike has approved a contract for the upgrade of streetlights on the Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway (Ring Road 1), a move aimed at enhancing safety and improving urban aesthetics.
The project commissioning drive underscores the FCT Administration’s alignment with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the commitment to delivering lasting infrastructure across the Federal Capital Territory.
Wike’s announcement is expected to set the tone for the second -year celebrations of the Presidency, with Abuja as a flagship example of urban transformation.
