The Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodinma On Primary Education, Dr Mrs Oby Oguzie has charged the women of Owerri West to troop out en-masse and support Uzodinma at the upcoming November Governorship Election.
Dr Oguzie made this statement at an LGA women August meeting held at the local government council headquarters Umuguma over the weekend.
In her opening speech, the education SA applauded Owerri West women for their massive mobilisation that greeted the year 2023 LGA Women August meeting.
She however reassured the woman of Owerri West and Imo state at large of her efforts to improve the primary education sector inline with the edicts of the state education board and that of Imo state government under Governor Hope Uzodinma.
While stating that the governorship election will be a win-win for the All Progressives Congress, Oby Oguzie did not mince words to appreciate APC on their choice of candidate.
She added that the “Imo State Charter of Equity” law will definitely make way for easy featuring of an Owerri zone Governor after the re-election of the incumbent Governor Hope Uzodinma.
SA Oguzie told Owerri West women the overwhelming importance of featuring a female gender as a running mate to Governor Hope Uzodinma and charged them to stand firm with APC.
According to Dr Oguzie, “Imo Women will continue to have a voice in the administration of Governor Hope Uzodinma since he has heard our cry to adopt a woman Deputy Governor.
“The women are solidly behind Governor Uzodinma and I want to charge every Owerri West woman and in extension, all Imolites to work hard for the re-election bid of Governor Hope and his running mate, Lady Ihuoma Ekomaru to consolidate his good works in the state.
In addition, the lovely Wife of the Majority Leader of the 10th House IMHA, Lady Onyemaechi pleaded with Owerri West women to keep supporting the APC led government under Governor Uzodinma while stating that the cordial relationship her husband, Rt Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi (Egbe) has established with his fellow honorable colleagues and the government, Owerri West will not be left out.
Lady Onyemaechi further charged Owerri West women and Imo women in general to utilize their voter’s cards which is their voting power to vote rightly APC/ Governor Hope Uzodinma on the November Guber Election as scheduled by INEC.
APC women leader in Owerri West, Hon Sandra Chinyere Ofurum encouraged the party women of the area for their supportive action and grassroots mobilization for the leading All Progressives Congress APC party and Governor Hope Uzodinma. She assured them of better welfare by Governor Uzodinma.
Our correspodent who covered the Owerri west women August meeting gathered that the women are poised by their advances to vote en-masse Governor Hope having x-rayed his good works while stating that a bed they have at hand will worth more than the angel Guber candidate yet to be unmasked to Imolites.
In conclusion, Oguzie harped on family upbringing while charging the women to make good homes and inculcate discipline and morals in their respective homes.
The governor’s grassroot mobilizer, Dr Oguzie had earlier admonished the women on their roles in building good homes for a better society and the need for them to appreciate the good work amiable Governor have done in Imo State by voting APC in November 2023 election for his re-election in oder to consolidate the excellent work he has done.
The women expressed happiness on the good works of governor Uzodinma and thanked the Owerri west SOLAD, Hon. Victor Osuigwe for bringing back life in the council headquarters Umuguma.
