Honourable Minister for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, yesterday, engaged with members of the press to discuss the various initiatives of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration aimed at empowering Nigerian youth.
During the media parley, the Minister highlighted the administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for young Nigerians to thrive. He outlined several key initiatives including; the Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA), Nigerian Youth Helpdesk, Green House initiative, Corpreneur Initiatives, and Digital Literacy for All (DL4ALL). He also provided updates on the Nigerian Youth Investment Fund and the National Youth Conference.While speaking about the Investment Fund, Olawande stated that applicants will only be required to revalidate their application before the commencement of disbursement in the first quarter of 2025.
He also stated that the National Youth Conference will encompass youth in both urban and rural communities across the country.
The Minister emphasized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu‘s dedication to harnessing the energy and creativity of Nigerian youth to drive national development.
He called on young Nigerians to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the administration and to play active role in shaping the country’s future.
“We are committed to creating a brighter future for Nigerian youth.
We believe that our young people have the talent, creativity, and energy to drive national development, and we are dedicated to providing them with the support and opportunities they need to succeed,” the Minister said.
The media parley provided an opportunity for the Minister to engage with journalists and respond to questions on the administration’s youth development initiatives.
