Over the weekend, the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Nekede was honoured by the Apex Youth body in Mbaitoli and Ikeduru Federal constituency, COALITION OF MBAIKE YOUTH FORUM.
9News Nigeria reports that the group who were marvelled by the sterling performance of the Rector described how Rev. Arimanwa lifted the face of Federal Polytechnic Nekede within his three years in office as Maverick.
The Convener of the group, Mbazuigwe Davidson Asikogu disclosed to our correspondent in Owerri that Mbaike Youths have resolved to confer on the Rector, the prestigious award of “ICON OF EXCELLENCE” in recognition of his academic and administrative ingenuity.
While speaking with the leader of the group, Mbazuigwe stated that Rev. Arimanwa has performed above board and lived out the exact nature of a true Mbaike man which attracted the COALITION OF MBAIKE YOUTH FORUM to confer the prestigious award on him.
He added that on behalf of the entire Mbaike Youths they have decided to honour and celebrate Rector Arimanwa.
A co-convener of the group, Ambassador Steve Nnadi described the award to the Rector as apt, considering the level of advancement and upliftment of the Polytechnic by the Arimanwa led Management.
Mbaike Youths through the group urged the Rector to continue his good works in the institution and called on the government to assign greater responsibilities as a reward for his good work.
Recall that Rev.Dr Arimanwa is the serving rector of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri Imo state Nigeria whose efforts and ideology has improved the citadel of learning.
