The Apex Socio-cultural youths organization of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) has urged State Security Service, (SSS), National Intelligent Agency (NIA), Defense Intelligence Agency, National Security Adviser and Minister of Defense to give the best political advice for peace and unity of Nigeria as 2023 general election approaches.

Speaking to newsmen in Umuahia, Thursday, March, 31st, the National President of Ohanaeze Youth Council, Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, amidst agony, implored Directors of the various Intelligent Security Agencies to intervene, thus rescuing the country from impending jeopardy, as he likened Nigeria to a ship struck by a tornado.

“I am urging the Director of Department of Security Service Yusuf Magaji Bichi, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Director Maj. Gen. S.A Adeayo, National Security Adviser (NSA) Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno, National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Director Ahmed Rufai Abubakar and Minister of Defense Maj. Gen. Bashir Salihi Magashi to know that Nigeria is like a ship hit by a tornado, therefore, it requires super intelligent security technicality to ensure the peace and Unity of Nigeria beyond 2023.

Comrade Igboayaka reminded Yusuf Magaji Bishi of the indispensable advisory role of the Department of Security Service (DSS) to the government particularly on matters that seem threatening to the unity of the nation.

Speaking emphatically, Igboayaka lamented that the Southeast region of the country had been deprived of opportunities of producing a president of the federal republic of Nigeria, since fifty-seven (57) years, stressing that 2023 Presidency to reconcile Ndigbo into Nigeria political project is strictly presidential aspirants from South-east geo-political Zone, not aspirants from Igbo extraction.

Hear him:
“It’s truism that the first mission of the (DSS) is to protect and defend the Federal Republic of Nigeria against domestic threats and provide security services; give advice to federal government on certain actions that will lead to the breakdown of law and order; therefore, the advice of (DSS) to APC led federal government will play a role on the issue of rotatory presidency, of which Southeast Nigeria has been marginalized and deprived of since 33 years of Military rule and 24 years of Democracy rule” Igboayaka recounted.

Comrade Igboayaka appealed to Yusuf Magaji Bichi, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno, Maj. Gen. S.A Adebayo and Maj. Gen. Bashir Salihi Magashi to advise to call the APC led federal to order as regards their choice of candidacy in issuance of presidential ticket.

He pleaded that the ticket be ceded to a Southeast aspirant, assuring that such would be a bold step to solving the problem of Pro-Biafrans agitations in Eastern Nigeria, “which have lasted since 1966 till date.

Adding, he said: “Marginalization and Injustice subdued with intimidation will always resurrect even with another generation”, he noted, as he blamed the rising national insecurity on marginalization and injustice.

“Over the the years Injustice and Marginalization have given a big blow to Nigeria political cum economic survival. This has also resulted in insecurity and call for secession in Nigeria. Nigeria can come out of this if justice, fairness and equity is given a chance in 2023 presidential election.

“The political solution at this political era is to cede APC and PDP presidential tickets to Southeast. However, any mistake to deny Southeast presidential tickets and position in 2023 is a direct way to justify the call for separation by Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Movement for the actualization State of Biafra( MASSOB), Biafra National Guard and many other pro- Biafra groups demanding for secession from Nigeria.

“All of our patriotic Nigerians, political elites, stakeholders, elders, Religious leaders both Christian and Muslim should realize that Nigeria is suffering from a chronicles of political pandemic and the surest vaccine is the Nigeria president of Southeast 2023.

“We must therefore, demonstrate an act to convince the new generation of Southeast extraction that have seen the Marginalization and Injustice since 57 years that they are parts and parcel of Nigeria by supporting and actualizing the Nigeria president of Southeast extraction”, Igboayaka State.

He, without fear or favour insisted that the federal government should consider granting the region the opportunity to lead the nation as a prove of their citizenship, having made intense sacrifices or adhere to their their clarion calls for Self-determination.

In his words: “It’s historical that Southeast has paid an ultimate sacrifice in Nigeria from 1966 till date. The blood of Southeastern youths shed in their quest for Self-determination should be a price either to reintegrate them into Nigeria with Nigeria president of Southeast extraction 2023 or a price to grant them the call for Self-determination.

Therefore, our National Security architectures should, on advisory capacity persuade federal government to embrace justice, fairness and equity as a tool to reunite Southeastern people with the Nigerian nation.
