The Zamfara State government has ordered the closure of all federal and private media houses in the state for covering People’s Democratic Party rally.
Consequently, the commissioner for police in the state has been directed to arrest all journalists who attended the event.
The order was announced by the state commissioner for information, Malam Ibrahim Magaji Dosara, via the local state radio.
The affected media organisations include Radio Nigeria, Pride FM, NTA and Gamji FM among others.
