Qatar 2022: Rwandan Referee, Salima Mukansanga, chosen to officiate at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar

As most biggest football festival begins in Qatar, Rwandan Referee, Salima Mukansanga has been chosen to officiate the most celebrated soccer festival. Mukansanga, now the first woman in the history of the World Cup to officiate at the men’s FIFA World Cup.

She is also the first female referees and first African female that will lead matches in the World Cup.

This edition is also different as World Football Governing Body, FIFA has also named three female assistant referees among the total 35 officials selected to officiate at the Qatar 2022 World cup.
