On Tuesday, the House of Representatives observed a moment of silence in honor of late Nigerian artiste, Mohbad, who died on Tuesday, 12 September 2023, and was buried a day later.
The lower chamber paid the tribute at the beginning of an executive session at the resumption of plenary in Abuja.
By virtue of a motion of emergency moved by the member representing the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Mr Babajimi Benson, the House further resolved to monitor the investigation and other matters related to the deceased.
Benson also urged the reform of copyright rules as well as entertainment legislation, and then voiced his worries regarding contracts and agreements for entertainers.
