Nigerian musician, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley has been taken into custody for questioning and other investigations over the death of his former singee, Mohbad.
Thr Marlian Music label boss had subsequently announced via his X handle on Tuesday night that he had returned back to Nigeria to assist the relevant authorities in their investigation efforts.
“I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s important I do my part for Imole. I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail.” He wrote.
The Lagos State Police Command PRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed this via his X handle.
“Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities…#justice4Mohbad #justiceforMohbad.” He posted.
