Aleix Espargaró, Spanish Grand Prix Motorcycle road racer was declared the fastest rider ever at the Mandalika circuit, putting his Aprilia RS-GP at the top of the timesheets at the end of the first day of practice in Indonesia.
Espargaró called for calm, saying that not everything you hear in the paddock is true, as one of the focuses of the debrief was Repsol Honda Team’s alleged harassment of riders from the Noale team.
“Anything can happen. Not everything you hear from riders and managers is true, believe me. So relax, anything can happen”. He said.
The Spanish racer further referenced Justin Bieber’s famous song to hint at a possible move to official Honda.
“Never say never in life. As Justin Bieber says, never say never.” Esparagaró said.
