Mrs. ‘Funke Adepoju, the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Water Regulatory Commission, has recently been honored by USAID – Nigeria for her outstanding contributions to the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector. This recognition highlights her active role in putting positive change and setting the pace in the WASH sector.
Her dedication and impact in the WASH sector have been instrumental in improving access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene in Lagos State and beyond. Her leadership and commitment have garnered attention and commendation from USAID, signifying the significance of her work in addressing critical challenges in the WASH sector.
To commemorate the 2024 International Women’s Day Celebration, Mrs. Adepoju proudly showcased message cards and placards at her office in The Secretariat, Alausa Ikeja, under the theme “Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress.” This gesture not only underscores the importance of recognizing women’s pivotal roles but also serves as a call to action to prioritize and support women’s contributions in driving progress across various sectors, including WASH.
