Oluwatimileyin Ajayi murdered and dismembered Salome Eleojo Adaidu, who he claimed to be his girlfriend, when she visited him at his house in Papalana axis at New Karshi in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Ajayi was nabbed on Sunday, January 12, while trying to dispose of the head of Salome after killing her and dismembering her parts.
“She (Salome Adaidu) used all the weapons on me, all these things were done by her. It was on the process of revenge, that’s when I stabbed the neck.
“I wanted to discard the body so that nobody will find it, That is why I did that (dismembered her body) It’s not for ritual sake”.
Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, 32-year-old murder suspect was arraigned in a one count charge of Culpable Homicide Punishable with death contrary to Section 221 of the Penal Code Law of Northern Nigeria.
The Court ordered the suspect to be remanded in a Correctional facility in Lafia, Nasarawa State, pending formal arraignment on a date to be assigned.
Salome, prior to her gruesome murder, the 24-year-old victim was Member of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, serving at NICON Insurance, Abuja.
