BREAKING:Benue PDP Passes Vote Of Confidence On Ex-Gov Ortom

The People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Logo local government area of Benue State on Saturday, 22nd March 2025, inaugurated her ward chairmen and local government exco with a charge on them to unite the party and prepare it for victory ahead of 2027.

The party also passed a vote of confidence on the leader of the party in Benue State, Chief Samuel Ortom and the State Working Committee of the party under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Ezekiel Adaji.

State Assistant Organizing Secretary of the party in Zone A, Hon. Shim Michael who administered the oath of office on the ward chairmen and local government exco, urged them to uphold the constitution of the party and justify the confidence reposed in them by the PDP family in Logo LGA.

Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated local government exco, Logo LGA PDP Chairman, Hon. Aondoaver Adanyi and Hon. Targema Gbor for Ward chairmen, all thanked the PDP family for the opportunity given to them to serve and sued for the support of all stakeholders of the party to enable them to succeed. Hon. Adanyi called on all aggrieved members of the party to bury their personal interests and work for the overall interest of the party.

In their separate remarks, Comrade Simon Kaaor who spoke for G-14, and Zonal Women Leader, Hon. Mrs. Dorcas Iorver who spoke for women, all stated their commitment to working for the growth of the party in Logo Local government area and beyond.

Other stakeholders who spoke, including Hon. Dr. Terris Damsa and Hon. Justine Kavera congratulated the newly inaugurated exco and pledged their continued support to exco to enable them succeed in repositioning the party. Dr. Damsa dismissed the rumours by some few aggrieved members of the party that the PDP in Logo local government is divided saying, the party in Logo LGA is one under the leadership of the local government chairman, Hon. Aondoaver Adanyi.

Vice Chairman of the party in Zone A, Hon. Abraham Waroh who was represented by Ukum local government area PDP chairman, Hon. Gusa Simon said, the PDP was waxing strong everyday due to the abysmal performance of the APC in Benue State and warned those impersonating as party officials in zone A to desist from such act or face the full wrath of the law, stressing that, the party in Benue State was under the leadership Hon. Ezekiel Adaji as State chairman and Chief Samuel Ortom as leader of the party in the state.

Leader of the party in Sankera, Hon. Dr. James Anbua Who recounted how they started the PDP in 1999 that led them to victory, urged members of the party in Logo LGA not to look at their number but look at their strength and work hard for the party.

He pledged his continued support to the EXCO of the party in Logo local government area and urged them to reconcile all aggrieved members of the party and unite all members of the party in the local government area and their respective wards to achieve victory in 2027 and return Benue State to the path of progress and peace.
