More than 1.9 million Nigerians have applied for the ongoing recruitment into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), and Federal Fire Service (FFS).
The recruitment exercise, covering the four paramilitary agencies, aims to fill only 30,000 positions nationwide.
Data from the application process reveal significant regional interest, with Kogi State recording the highest number of applicants at 116,133, followed closely by Kaduna (114,507) and Benue (110,536).
Kano received 89,362 applications, Niger 79,510, and Kwara 78,423.
Other states with high applicant numbers include Katsina (76,809), Nasarawa (76,586), Adamawa (68,305), Oyo (67,200), Plateau (63,393), and Osun (62,356).
In the northeast, Borno recorded 56,907 applicants, while in the south, Ondo (53,920), Akwa Ibom (52,474), and Bauchi (52,068) also saw strong participation. Imo had 48,262 applications, Taraba 45,147, and Gombe 45,023.
The states with the lowest application figures include Bayelsa (11,669), Lagos (14,215), Rivers (22,208), Ebonyi (23,601), and Delta (27,957).
