Two farmers has been reportedly killed in Horop community of Mushere Chiefdom in Bokkos local government area of Plateau State.
President of Mushere Youth Movement (MUYOM) Kopmut Monday confirmed the incident on Thursday August 14, 2025.
Monday who described the incident as barbaric said the security agencies maintaining peace in the area were informed about the incident.
MUYOM President gave the names of the deceased as Kyargarshak Stephen Gumap and Michael Longs.
He said; “one was killed in his farm harvesting while the second was murdered on his way home (from Horop to Kopmuri) by suspected Fulani tourist residing in Rogjing-Mbor”
Spokesperson of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Major Samson Zhakom has not responded to the text message regarding the incident as at press time.
9News Nigeria correspondent reports that many people were killed recently in various communities in Bokkos LGA.
The MUYOM has called on security agencies to restore law and order in the area.
