The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has officially announced the commencement of its 2026 nationwide recruitment exercise, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for vacancies across different cadres within the organisation.
According to a recruitment notice issued by the Corps, the online application portal will open on Friday, July 3, 2026, and remain accessible for four weeks.
The notice, dated June 24, 2026, was signed by the Deputy Corps Marshal and Head of Administration and Human Resources, Pauline Olaye, on behalf of the Corps Marshal.
The FRSC stressed that the recruitment exercise is completely free and warned Nigerians against paying money to anyone claiming to offer employment into the agency.
The notice clearly stated: “Application is free and attracts no cost.”
How to Apply
Interested applicants are required to submit their applications through the official FRSC recruitment portal from Friday, July 3, 2026.
The application portal will remain open for four weeks, after which no further applications will be accepted.
Applicants are advised to register using their personal email addresses and active telephone numbers, as these will be used for all official communication throughout the recruitment process.
Shortlisted candidates will also be required to present printed copies of their completed application forms during the screening exercise.
Recruitment Categories
The 2026 recruitment exercise covers three major cadres, offering opportunities for applicants with different educational qualifications and professional backgrounds.
- Officer Cadre
The Officer Cadre includes the following positions:
Superintendent Route Commander
Route Commander/Deputy Route Commander
Assistant Route Commander
Professionals in the following fields are encouraged to apply:
Medical Doctors
Pharmacists
Nurses
Medical Laboratory Scientists
Lawyers
Engineers
Applicants with B.Sc., BA and HND qualifications are also eligible for various positions within the cadre, depending on the role.
Candidates applying under this category are generally expected to be between 18 and 35 years of age.
- Marshal Inspectorate Cadre
Applications are also invited from holders of:
Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)
National Diploma (ND/OND)
Registered Nurse (RN)
Registered Midwife (RM)
Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW)
Applicants for this cadre must be between 18 and 30 years old.
- Road Marshal Assistant Cadre
Candidates with a minimum of three credits in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), including English Language and Mathematics, are eligible to apply.
The Corps also invited skilled workers and artisans, including:
Computer Operators
Mechanics
Electricians
Plumbers
Tailors
Motorcycle Riders
Drivers
Applicants in these categories must possess the required trade certificates or other relevant professional qualifications.
Drivers and motorcycle riders must also possess the appropriate class of valid driver’s licence, while articulated vehicle and tow-truck drivers must be between 26 and 40 years old.
General Requirements
According to the FRSC, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Must be a Nigerian by birth.
Must be computer literate.
Must be medically, physically and mentally fit.
Must be single.
Must possess the required educational qualification for the preferred cadre.
Must possess a valid professional licence where applicable.
Male applicants must be at least 1.65 metres tall.
Female applicants must be at least 1.58 metres tall.
Must be of good character.
Must not be financially indebted.
Must have no criminal record.
Must not have tattoos on any part of the body.
Must declare all academic and professional qualifications during the application process.
Must use a personal email address and active telephone number during registration.
The Corps also advised pregnant women not to apply for the recruitment exercise.
FRSC Warns Against Fraud
The FRSC reiterated that no payment is required at any stage of the recruitment process and urged applicants to beware of fraudsters demanding money in exchange for employment.
According to the Corps, only applications submitted through the official recruitment portal within the stipulated four-week application period will be considered.
Prospective applicants are advised to complete their registration early and ensure that all required information and supporting documents are correctly submitted to avoid disqualification.
