The second day of the consolidation and consultation tour of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate for the House of Representatives, Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency, Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye, witnessed a major boost as APC chieftain and former Ogun Central Senatorial aspirant, Chief Muraino Banjoko, announced a Forty Million Naira (₦40m) campaign support fund for her forthcoming electioneering campaign.
The announcement, made at the APC Stakeholders’ Meeting in Agbado, Ifo Local Government Area, drew loud ovations from party leaders and members, who described the gesture as a strong demonstration of confidence in Adeleye’s candidacy and the growing unity within the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Banjoko commended Adeleye for her unwavering commitment to grassroots development, recalling the numerous projects she facilitated for communities within the Constituency. He expressed confidence in her capacity to provide quality representation at the National Assembly, declaring that her emergence as the APC candidate was divinely ordained. He enjoined party faithful to rally increasing support for all party candidates in the forthcoming election.
In her address, Hon. Adeleye applauded party leaders and stakeholders for their continued confidence and called on members to remain united, stressing that the task ahead demands collective sacrifice rather than individual interests.
She urged members to put the primary election behind them and close ranks for the success of all APC candidates, paying glowing tribute to support groups, including the IFO L’OKAN Movement, for their steadfast loyalty and commitment to the progressive cause.
Recounting her political journey, Adeleye announced a donation of ₦1 million towards the renovation of the Agbado and District Multipurpose Hall, describing the facility as a historic landmark in her story.
“It was within this same hall in 2006 that I was first declared the House of Assembly candidate for Ifo II State Constituency, so my pledge to give the hall a facelift is my way of preserving a place that occupies a special chapter in my public service story.”
Adeleye also called on party members to intensify grassroots mobilisation, participate actively in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, and work tirelessly for the election of all APC candidates. These include the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the election of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), Senator Salisu Shuaib, her candidature for the House of Representatives, and the re-election of Hon. Fatiu Folawewo Salami to the State House of Assembly.
“Our party, the APC remains strongest when united and the collective interest of the party must always prevail over individual ambitions,” she remarked.
