Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a father figure.
He also explained that his support for the President is rooted in their shared Yoruba heritage and the fact that they are both from the South-West.
Adeleke, speaking after his victory in the Osun State governorship election on Sunday, said he had never reached any agreement with President Tinubu, stressing that his support was based on his personal conviction and regional affinity.
“I see President Tinubu as a father. I never reached an agreement with President Tinubu. My support is just based on the fact that he is a Yoruba man and he is from the South-West,” Adeleke said.
The governor further urged Tinubu to ensure that the South-West benefits from the Federal Government’s ongoing road infrastructure projects.
“I believe that all the federal roads that he has started, I want to encourage him not to forget the South-West too,” he added.
