Tinubu will get over 70% of Northern votes – Yilwatda

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda has predicted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure over 70% of votes in Northern Nigeria in the 2027 presidential election.

Nentawe made the prediction on Saturday at commissioning of the Arewa for Asiwaju Secretariat in Abuja.

According to him, the North has several reasons to back Tinubu’s re-election, including federal infrastructure projects, the position of Vice President Kashim Shettima, political appointments and other interventions.

The national chairman listed road projects across northern states, the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas pipeline, irrigation dams, railway projects and healthcare initiatives as reasons the region should support the President for second term.
