The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has excluded Professor Isa Ali Pantami, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Gombe State, from its final list of candidates for the forthcoming governorship election.
Pantami, who recently emerged victorious in a fresh PDP governorship primary, was reportedly missing from the list of candidates released by the electoral commission for Gombe State.
The development raises questions about his eligibility to contest the election under the PDP platform, particularly following the conduct of the fresh primary that produced him as the party’s candidate.
