Microsoft and CcHub chart a new course with WINsiders4Good Fellowship

Earlier in the week, Microsoft and Co-Creation Hub, announced a new partnership which birthed the Windows Insiders for Good (#WINsiders4Good) fellowship.

On Wednesday, September 21, 2016, the fellowship was launched at the CcHUB office in Yaba, Lagos. This is the first of its kind by Microsoft in Africa.

Over the next 6 months, “entrepreneurs with brilliant ideas” are encouraged to apply for the WINsiders4Good Fellowship. From the pool of applicants, only 20 exceptional candidates would finally be selected.

The primary goal of Microsoft, in conjunction with CcHub, is to- “connect entrepreneurs to a global community of people like them, prioritize and fix the technical issues that can hinder them from reaching their goal, provide mentors for technical and strategic questions for six months, and provide hardware and software to bring their ideas to life.”

WINsiders4Good will focus solving complex problems with technology. The selected applicants will receive hardware and software support along with 6 months of tailored technical and strategic mentorship from local and international leaders to help bring their unique idea to life — building viable businesses in the process.

Femi Longe had nothing but praise for the fellowship, highlighting its impact in solving several social problems in Nigeria, hence Co-Creation Hub’s support.

“Collaborating with Microsoft will allow entrepreneurs across Nigeria to expand their possibilities while exposing them to other entrepreneurs in the global space, which will eventually increase their competitive chances,” Longe said.

Application for the WINsiders4Good Fellowship is on and will close on 10th October 2016. Click here to register.
