HERDERS: Herd of cows numbering about fifty were found standstill clustering a particular village in Imo over hours the herders disappeared from their midst this Saturday morning.
Probably it may be a bait by trouble makers to see who will go near the cattle so that they could use it to unleash mayhem in the area. This has fused huge suspicion since morning till the time of filling this breaking report by 9News.
It was surprisingly disturbing to the villagers in the area who woke from sleep this Saturday morning to see clustering of big sized cows at their general gathering place called Ogbakoro Umuezereokam.
A huge number of cows clustered the central gathering place in Umuezerokam village located in Nekede without the presence of the and Herder(s) in control.
The Okam security had rushed out to confirm the incident this Saturday morning and till the date and time of filling this News by 9News Nigeria, no single herder was found and no owner or owners have ever called to signal the people of the ownership of these cows.
It is possible the herder has disappeared amidst fear or that the cows were spiritually sent to Okam village to pacify the economic hardship as gathered.
Besides, passer-bys told 9News that herders accompanied those cows but they way and manner they disappeared was suspicious and worrisome.
Now the Herd of cows are seen helpless and have since morning remained standstill without any Herder anywhere to be located, the situation is tempting, suspicious and has raised a curious alarm at Ogbakoro Umuezereokam Nekede and Owerri West at large.
The cows were reported to have been captured and rescued by OKAM SECURITY PERSONNELS this Saturday morning. And as we speak, the cows are cordoned by local security operatives while reaching out for the search of the handlers which is still unknown till the time of this publication by 9News.
At the point of filling this report by Newsmen in Owerri, the cows numbering about fifth are still waiting for the herders to come for them. “The cows are together without cries or worry and could not move either forward or backwards.
Okam security outfit has delved into action to alert the public of this pressing situation in their community this Saturday morning.
Speaking with some local vigilant officers in the area, the cows were seen clustering together without the herder in their midst. The security in the rural Community is in charge while calling on the public and security agencies to be alert of this development.
This situation is fusing tension in okam Nekede village as residents are very alert to outwit any reprisal attack incase there could.
However, the way about of the herder is unknown while the cows are clustering at a still position at the time of filling this report by 9News Nigeria .

Umuezerokam Nekede is located in Owerri West LGA. It has boundary with Avu autonomous community towards Owerri/PortHarcourt express road in Imo state and this is the area the herd of cows were located as they cluster helplessly. It is alleged that the herders may have disappeared in Imo community.
