Obioma Somtochi Ugorji, an Igbo boy who is 22, becomes the best graduating student of Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, California, USA for 2023.
Obioma who has no English or foreign name flew the Igbo and Nigeria flag at the highest altitude in a foreign land.
He is the valedictorian of the university for 2023.
Valedictorian means the student with the highest grade in a graduating set who gives the farewell speech at graduation ceremonies.
He started his speech with the phrase “Igbo Kwenu”.
He eulogized/praised the Igbos throughout his speech.
