Results Upload To IRev Cannot Be Manipulated As Speculated, Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi Collations Seriously Monitored By INEC
The attention of the Independent National Electoral Commission has been drawn to a story attributed to unknown “concerned workers” of the Commission that passwords for result upload have been withdrawn from LGA Supervisors for use by APO1s in Imo State.
This is untrue as hinted by the election umpire INEC.
For the avoidance of doubt, Presiding Officers (POs), and not APO1s, are responsible for result upload to the IReV.
All the passwords have been securely released for use by designated officials in line with the Commission’s procedure.
The public should expect more of such insinuations before, during and after the elections, and continue to discountenance them.
Also, a similar report trending on social media and that filled result sheets were discovered in some polling units in Kogi State is being investigated as gathered by our correspondent.
The Commission views this situation seriously while senior officials deployed to the State are currently investigating the incident(s).
The Commission is expected to communicate its decision at due time which is possible before the final pronouncement of results.
Meanwhile, by the introduction of BVAS, it is expected that any party writing results ahead of time is simply wasting his or her time because it is Useless.
BVAS is here to make sure of that. Without the BVAS record of accreditation which cannot be easily manipulated as well as the voters register, the pre-written result is simply a joke, experts hinted.
My investigation reveals that capturing are done live and the BVAS is rejecting saved photos from voters. Therefore voters must show live presence before the BVAS can approve it’s authentication on green signal.
Another revelation from the field of 2023 Guber election as gathered by our correspondent, also confirmed that BVAS can only be manipulated when voters are captured and did not vote in the process, otherwise his/her accreditation can be used for another or be lobbied by the highest picture.
