The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman has announced that the citizens’ tracker, a platform enabling Nigerians to monitor government projects and its senior officials, is ready and set for launch.
“President Tinubu emphasised the importance of direct citizen involvement in verifying the delivery of government programs and projects,” she stated. “To facilitate this, we have the citizens’ tracker, allowing Nigerians nationwide to monitor the status of priority programs and projects and report any discrepancies.” Nigerian citizens will be involved in the appraisal process to commend or sack officials.
She continued, “Through this platform, citizens can actively engage in governance by tracking the progress of government initiatives. The central delivery and coordination unit will review these reports, ensuring accountability and transparency in project implementation.
President Tinubu is resolute in his commitment to making Nigeria work for its people and empowering them to participate actively in governance.”
Bala Usman reiterated Tinubu’s insistence on firsthand citizen participation in project verification, underscoring his dedication to inclusive governance and transparency.
