
In a call to action for national renewal, Hon. Rinsola Abiola, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Citizenship & Leadership, delivered the keynote address at the Inaugural Public Lecture & Discussion organized by Man O’ War Nigeria.
The event, held under the leadership of the National Commander, NC. Adedamola Gbenga MIPM, MSS, MSR, focused on the theme: “Reclaiming Nigeria: The Role of Responsible Citizenship in Securing Our Nation Amidst Emerging Threats.”
In her speech, Hon. Abiola underscored the importance of restoring Nigeria’s core values, stating, “Reclaiming Nigeria means reclaiming our values: honesty, empathy, fairness, and service.” She emphasized that shaping the nation’s future is not solely the duty of those in power but also rests in the hands of everyday citizens who demonstrate leadership in their communities.
Hon. Abiola reaffirmed her office’s commitment to fostering civic consciousness and inspiring a new generation of Nigerians to recognize that “citizenship is not just a status but a responsibility.” She acknowledged the role of Man O’ War Nigeria in upholding values of service, discipline, and civic duty, expressing her gratitude for the leadership award presented to her at the event.
Concluding her remarks, she reiterated the collective duty of all Nigerians in reclaiming the nation’s future, declaring, “Together, we will reclaim Nigeria.”
