The Minister of Defense, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar paid a working visit to the Imo State Government and was received by His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma CON.
In his visit, the minister thanked Governor Hope Uzodinma for supporting the military and the non kinetics operations.
The misister stated that his team was in Enugu before visiting Imo on the same measure to improve security operation across the South East zone and Nigeria at large.
Receiving the Defense Minister in the government House Owerri, Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma discussed critical issues, including sustaining their ongoing partnership to strengthen the security framework of the State.
During the meeting, both leaders shared insights aimed at addressing the security challenges faced by the state and broader society. They also explored other matters of mutual interest, underscoring the importance of collaboration in ensuring peace and stability.
The Governor expressed his gratitude to the Honorable Minister for his unwavering commitment to the shared mission of safeguarding the state. He highlighted the strong and productive relationship Imo State has consistently enjoyed with the Ministry of Defense and its agencies, crediting this partnership as a cornerstone in tackling security concerns effectively.
Reaffirming his administration’s dedication to this collaboration, Governor Uzodinma stated, “As a government, we remain steadfast in our commitment to this partnership, knowing that the security and well-being of our citizens must remain a priority.”
The visit reinforced the ongoing resolve of both parties to work together in addressing pressing security issues and ensuring the safety of the people of Imo State.
