Following the recent announcement of victory by the Election Petition Tribunal, NAWOJ Imo State have sent across a hearty congratulatory message to His Excellency Hope Odidika Uzodinma CON on his deserving victory that upheld his election victory as Governor.
On this therefore, the reelected Chairman of Imo State chapter of the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Dr Dorothy Nnaji, has congratulated the governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Sen. Hope Uzodinma, Onwa oyoko, on his victory at the gubernatorial elections Tribunal, following the petitions of Sen. Athan Achonu of Labour Party, and Sen. Samuel Anyanwu, Samdaddy, of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, instituted after the November 11 general elections.
Dr Dorothy Nnaji described the victory as an affirmation of the yearning of Imo people who came out en masse to cast their votes for the man who has shown capacity in the governance of Imo State.
In her words “Sen. Hope Uzodinma was overwhelmingly voted by the people across the 27 LGAs of Imo State and therefore the attempt to challenge his victory is an attempt to distract him and to challenge the mandate freely given him by Imo People”.
The Amazon of Journalism reiterated that the quality roads and infrastructure the governor has done, the introduction of free bus scheme for civil servants, the double promotion of civil servants which has been effected, the only promotion since over 10 years, and the sense of commitment of the governor to the governance that has seen the state transform under his administration, attested to the reasons why Imolites unanimously voted for him across the length and breadth of the state.
She urged the governor to be magnanimous in victory as to continue his good works meant to serve Ndi Imo, and not to be distracted by the distraction caused by a few.
She urged all Imolites to join hands to support the 3R shared prosperity Government in order to ensure positive development and wellbeing of imo state and her citizens.
Dr Dorothy Nnaji used the opportunity to also thank the Governor for supporting Journalists and particularly, NAWOJ IMO State in their various programs.
The NAWOJ Boss further prayed God to continue to guide and bless Governor Uzodinma as he leads Imo through the second tenure in Douglas House.
Recall that Dr Dorathy Nnaji won her second election as NAWOJ chairman Imo state chapter through a keenly contested election. Her success is a testament of her unwavering effort and ability to pilot the affairs of Imo women Journalists.
She therefore congratulates Governor Hope Uzodinma on behalf of Imo state NAWOJ on his deserving victory as announced by the Tribunal .
