Former Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, has revealed the reason behind his decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that his move is driven by a desire to contribute to the development of the State.
Yero emphasized that his defection was not motivated by political ambition or quest for an appointment but rather by a personal commitment to supporting Governor Uba Sani’s administration.
“I wish to also make it clear that our decision to defect to the APC is not informed by the desire to aspire for any political office or appointment. It is a personal decision to contribute my quarter to the development of our state under the leadership of the current Governor of Kaduna State”, he stated.
Yero, left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at a grand rally in Kaduna over the weekend where Governor Uba Sani officially received 50 opposition stalwarts and thousand of supporters into the APC.
Dr. Ramalan Yero served as the governor of Kaduna State from 2012-2015, following the death of Patrick Yakowa in helicopter crash.
