Niger State Governor Abubakar Bello has sworn-in Justice Halimah Abdul-Malik as the Acting Chief Judge.
Governor Abubakar Bello performed the ceremony at the State High Court Complex in Minna,Niger State Capital.
Our source revealed that the immediate past Chief Judge of Aisha Bwari had performed valedictory session before the swearing-in of the Acting Chief Judge.
In her valedictory address Justice Aisha Bwari acknowledged that the knowledge she acquired as she worked in different capacities in the judiciary over the years.
She highlighted some some her achievements to include remodelling and renovation of courts and maintenance across the state.
Appointment of High Court Judges and Khadis as well as clearing backlogs of promotion of staff from 2016 to 2021 among others.
The Former Chief Judge Justice Bwari attributed lack of adequate funds,medical and vacation allowances for judges are some of the challenges the judiciary in the state is contending with.
The Acting Chief Judge Justice Halimah Abdul-Malik noted that her predecessor has distinguished herself as a Judicial Officer as she presided over so many cases and were well delivered.
Justice Halimah Abdul-Malik expressed happiness with the appointed by Niger State Governor Abubakar Bello and promised to do her best.
Governor Abubakar Bello expressed confidence that the Acting Chief Judge will discharge her duties diligently.
Governor Abubakar Bello assured the Acting Chief Judge that his administration will not relent in supporting the judiciary to give its best to the people of Niger State.
